How to install a mod or addon on Minecraft (text) (updated in 2022):
1) How to install Forge itself
- First you need to download the required FORGE version
- Launch the Minecraft launcher and go to Settings. Then click on the Udisen.com profile (if it is not there, create it through the Add button)
- The profile settings will open and select “release 1.16.5” from the “version” list (release means the version of minecraft, if you need 1.7.10 – select release 1.7.10, etc.)
- Start the game, wait for the main menu to appear and exit.
- Close the Minecraft launcher and Minecraft itself
- Double click the downloaded file forge. Press the “ok” button. After installing FORGE, press the “ok” button again
2) How to install the mod itself
1) Launch the Minecraft launcher and go to Settings. Then click on the Udisen.com profile (if it is not there, create it through the Add button)
2) Find the version and select “forge 1.16.5 XXXXX” (the version of Forge itself is not particularly important, the main thing is that it is designed for the required version of Minecraft and is as fresh as possible, instead of XXXXX you will have the version of Forge itself) from the list of “version”. The first three digits in the name forge mean the Minecraft version, if you need 1.7.10 – choose forge 1.7.10, etc.
3) Next, you need to find the mods folder. There are different ways to do this:
– Poke on the folder icon opposite the name of the Profile Udisen.com
– Go to Minecraft and find the Mods button in the main menu. Poke into it and then find the “Open mods folder” button. (only works in the latest versions of Minecraft and Forge).
– Or in Windows 10, right-click on the main Start button on the Desktop and select the Start option and type %appdata%, find the .minecraft folder and the mods folder in it. If it is not there, create it.
– Or, in Windows 7, press the main Start button on the Desktop and type %appdata% command into the search bar, find the .minecraft folder and the mods folder in it. If it is not there, create it.
4) In the mods folder itself, throw the required mods (along with the necessary libraries, if any are needed for mods for Minecraft, they can always be found in the Requirements section of each mod on the website geroncraft.ru)
5) In the launcher, select the same profile that you just configured. Click PLAY.
ADDITIONALLY:
IMPORTANT! Sometimes the installation process for mods may differ, read the description on the mod page.
If you need to add new mods, then just open the mods folder again and add the necessary ones there.
