Below you can download Java for running Minecraft on your PC.
Important! Usually Minecraft Java Edition licensed launcher installs and uses the required version of Java itself. However, this is not always the case, especially with pirated versions.
How to choose the right version of Java:
- Minecraft 1.5.2-1.16.5 runs on JRE 8
- Minecraft 1.17 runs on JDK 16
- Minecraft 1.18, 1.19 and later runs on JDK 17
- Minecraft server 1.5.2-1.16.5 runs on JDK 8
- Minecraft Server 1.17 runs on JDK 16
- Minecraft server 1.18 and later runs on JDK 17
How to choose the right version of Java for:
Look at what OS you have, 32 or 64 bit. In Windows, to do this, go to settings, then to System, from there to System Information (About). Download the same Java.
