How to find the .minecraft folder where the Minecraft game folder is located

If you decide to install mods, textures, a map or an assembly, then according to the instructions, you need to copy some files inside the game folder.

The .minecraft folder contains the game itself and all the add-ons for it, including the folder for mods, resourcepacks, maps (saves), shaderpacks (shaderpacks).

For Windows

Press the Win + R keys at the same time

Enter% APPDATA% \. Minecraft and click OK, you will find yourself in the game folder.
Or use the universal method (see below)

For Linux

The folder is located in the user’s home directory ~ \ .minecraft.
If you don’t know where it is, then use the universal method.

For Mac OS

Open Finder
Press the keyboard shortcut Cmd + Shift + G

Click the Go button

Start Minecraft
Click the Settings … button -> Resource Packages … -> Folder with resource packs
