Friends & Foes (Fabric) [1.19.4] [1.18.2]

Friends and Foes – mod for Minecraft 1.19.3/1.18.2 adds several passive and hostile mobs to Minecraft. Specifically, he adds Flare, Illusionist, Icebreaker, Copper Golem, Mooble Boom, and Beekeeper.

Also added some structures. One of the main goals is to further expand on the original concepts and add new vanilla features related to all mobs. As cool as the glowing squid is, it doesn’t bring anything new to the game. So the main focus of this mod is also adding related features to all mobs and expanding the vanilla style minecraft world and mechanics.

Friends:

Copper Golem:

The Copper Golem is a small neutral mob with a funny behavior. It has no specific purpose other than accidentally pressing brass buttons.
Craft: Copper Golems are created by first placing any waxed or unwaxed version of a copper block as the bottom block, a carved pumpkin or gourd lantern as the middle block, and then placing a lightning rod on top of the pumpkin block.
Drop: Copper Golems drop 1-3 Copper Ingots when they die.
Copper golems roam the world. They turn their heads just for fun.
If a copper golem is near one or more copper buttons of any state, the copper golem will randomly select one of them, move towards the button, and attempt to press it.

Oxidation:

Unwaxed copper golems have four stages of oxidation (including the initial undamaged state). Lightning bolts and axes can remove oxidation from copper golems.
As the golem begins to oxidize, it gets slower and slower. At the last stage (oxidized state), the golem turns into a statue.
Waxing: Copper golems can be turned into the corresponding waxed copper golems by using a honeycomb item on them.
Scraping: Using an ax on a waxed copper golem transforms it into the corresponding unaffected copper golem. Additionally, using an ax on an unprotected, weathered, or oxidized copper golem transforms it by one stage into an unaffected, unprotected, or weathered copper button, respectively.
Healing: Using a copper ingot on a copper golem restores its health by 5♥.

Glare:

Glitter is a small neutral mob that lives exclusively in the lush cave biome.
Appearance: Glare can only spawn underground in a lush cave biome when light level is 1 or higher, and only on certain blocks. They do not naturally spawn in any other biome.
When glair is killed, it drops: 0-2 glowing berries. The maximum amount increases by 1 per level of Looting, up to a maximum of 0-5 with Looting III.
Glairs fly like bees and run away from nearby monsters. Indomitable highlights will also try to avoid dark areas as much as possible.
If there is a cave vine with glowing berries within a 12 block radius of a bright light, it flies towards the bush and shakes them off, then tries to eat them.
Tamed glare will occasionally fly into dark areas within an 8 block radius and become grumpy, letting the owner know that monsters may appear there.
Glairs can be tamed by feeding them Glowing Berries with a 1/3 chance of success.
Like tamed wolves and cats, a tamed glair follows the player unless tied to a fence, and can teleport if there is sufficient distance between them and the player. As with all tamed animals, a death message is displayed to its owner upon death.

Mubloom:

Mubloom are buttercup-covered variants of cows exclusive to the Flower Forest and Grassland biome.
Mubloom can spawn in flower forest biomes in herds of 2-4 at light level 9 or higher and on grass. They do not naturally spawn in any other biome.
A pair of Mublooms can breed after they get wheat. A Mubloom cannot be crossed with a cow unless the Mubloom has been sheared.
Little Mublooms do not have buttercups on their backs. Buttercups appear when the cub becomes an adult.
Moublum can be milked by using a bucket on it, which will yield a bucket of milk.
When walking, there is a chance that a flower will appear on the ground. Each flower they plant has a 40% chance of becoming a ranunculus, a 40% chance of becoming a dandelion, or a 20% chance of becoming a sunflower. Otherwise, Mublooms basically had the same AI behavior as mushrooms and cows. They wandered aimlessly, constantly bellowing and puffing, avoiding lava and cliffs high enough to cause fall damage.
When a bee is near a mubloom, the bee will try to pollinate the flowers on the mubloom from behind.

Enemies:

Mauler (Great Famine):

Thugs are small neutral mobs that live exclusively in savannas, badlands, and desert biomes.
Maulers spawn naturally over grass blocks or mud in savannah, rough mud or red sand in barren lands. mud or sand in the desert.
When killing Maulers, all accumulated experience points drop out in the form of experience spheres.
Spawned Brutes have an appearance that matches the biomes they spawn in. Brute can vary in size, which means that the more experience points stored in a Brute, the larger it is.
Maulers prey on chickens, rabbits, frogs, baby zombies and small slimes, Maulers also become hostile towards the player or other mob that attacks them.
Sometimes a mauler can roar into the ground and wait for its prey there.

Illusionist:

The Illusionist is an illager that uses spells and is armed with a bow. It can only be found in the Illusionist’s Hut and in raids.
Separate illusionists appear during the creation of the illusionist hut. They do not respawn after their initial appearance.
An illusionary spawned from an illusionist’s hut does not naturally disappear (unless the world is switched to peaceful mode‌).
Illusionaries can spawn during raids on their own or mounted on Ravagers. Illusioners cannot spawn in easy raids, because there are only three waves in such raids, and illusionaries appear in the fifth wave and above.
Illusions attack players, villagers, iron golems, and wandering traders within 16 blocks if a raid occurs. He attacks with his spells and bow, releasing an arrow every second.
The illusion moves quickly and always tries to maintain a constant distance between itself and the player, retreating if the player gets too close and advancing if the player retreats.
Any phantom can join the patrol if they are close enough to the patrol captain.
The illusionist has two spells: a spell that blinds the enemy, and a spell that causes illusions and makes the illusionist invisible for a short time.
The illusioner only casts blindness if the regional difficulty is greater than 2.
Upon first encountering a new enemy, the illusionist inflicts a blinding effect that lasts 20 seconds. He signals this attack by raising his arms, making a low sound, and releasing a black mist.
The illusioner does not cast this spell on the same foe more than once, unless it has first switched its attention to another foe and then back to the original foe.
When the illusionist takes damage, they teleport, become invisible for 3 seconds, and create 8 illusions of themselves in a circle around their original position.
The illusion will behave exactly like the illusionist and will attack the same target with the bow as the illusionist. The illusion will disappear on the first hit.
When a real illusionist is killed, all of his illusions immediately disappear.

Blocks/Items:

Buttercup:

Buttercup is a small yellow flower.
This is currently not implemented! In the future, buttercup may appear in the flower forests and meadows biome.
Shearing a Mubloom drops 5 Buttercups and turns into a normal cow.
Buttercup can be used as decoration or turned into yellow dye, and planted on grass blocks, mud, or coarse dirt. Buttercup can be planted in a flower pot, and also used to make suspicious stew.

Copper button:

The Copper Button is a non-solid block that can provide temporary redstone power for a certain number of redstone ticks depending on the level of oxidation.

Beekeeper:

The beekeeper as well as the new village structure are now fully functional in the game.
