This simple mod/datapack will make it much easier to move villagers from place to place using llamas and camels.

To put a resident on a camel, you will need to approach him on a saddled camel. If you want to put a villager on a llama, you will need to put a carpet on it and bring it to the villager. You can force residents to get down by right-clicking on them.
